When you decided to pick Bali as your holiday destination, one thing will come up in your head: Kuta Beach. This is not without reasons because until this day, Kuta is still the most popular area in Bali. You got the beautiful beach with view of gorgeous sunset everyday; the famous restaurants; the always exciting night life and the Malls. It’s convenience, relaxation and unforgetable adventure all in one place. Now, if Kuta is your choice, then The Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort must be on your top list of places to stay. We experience staying there, and we’re ready to tell you why.
1. WE LOVE THE ROOMS
We know when we stay at a Sheraton that a good sleep is guaranteed thanks to their Sheraton Signature Sleep experience. Their bed, pillow and blankets are awesome. They just hug you in all the right places. The room are very spacious, even the Deluxe rooms are 46 square meters. So, inside the room, there’s a dining table, a satin caise lounge, a big TV and a massive bathroom. The room have a contemporary and clean look that we love with blue and white as the dominant color. What we love the most about the room is their private balcony. It overlooks the beautiful Kuta beach or the garden. This is a great spot to enjoy the beautiful Sunset or relax under the starry night. But, if you just want to be lazy and stay in those comfty bed, do so while enjoying their complimentary High Speed Internet Access or premium entertainment on the 37-inch LCD TV or iPod docking station.
2. WE LOVE THE BATHROOM
In fact, we love it so much they need a dedicated paragraph to explain why. As we have mentioned before, the bathroom are big. You can store your luggage neatly in their walk-in wardrobe. Everything is covered in marble and clear glass, making it very chic and trendy. The bathtub is big enough for two, their rainshower has great pressure and all the bath amenities from Shine for Sheraton™ are just lovely. Grab a chair and do your makeup in their large vanity and mirror. You’ll feel like the Kardashian.
3. THE HOTEL IS SUPER KID-FRIENDLY
Most hotel provide great kids facilities, but Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort takes it to a whole new level. First, at check-in, all children receive a welcome pack containing a refillable bottle. This bottle can be filled with dairy products, chilled juices, and soft drinks at any dining venue. Then, children ages 3 and younger eat for free from children’s menus and buffets (not à la carte menus). Children ages 4 through 11 receive a 50% discount at the buffet and when ordering from à la carte menus (the chef will make a smaller portion); regular children’s menu prices remain the same. Meanwhile, if you have an SPG membership (if not just apply for free anytime), you can join the Kid’s Program. For only IDR 75.000 net / child / day, your children ages 4 through 12 eat for free (when accompanied by adult meals) and drink for free at Bene, Feast, and The Lounge. Last but not least, Sheraton has their famous Play@Sheraton which has something for children of all ages. There’s an outdoor sandpit, outdoor water area with cascading feature, lots of books and games and during check in each child is entitled to a drawstring bag with plenty of fun options. They even have baby-sitting services upon request. Mommies, are you reading this?
4. THE INFINITY POOL IS DREAMY
In Bali, there’s plenty of infinity pool. However, this one offers a stunning view of the Indian Ocean, with a VIP seat to the best Sunset in Bali. The free-form pool with marine blue tiles beckons for an invigorating swim or refreshing dip. Relax and soak up some warming Bali rays on the expansive sun deck, furnished with comfortable sun loungers with umbrellas. Your little ones will have a ball splashing around in the adjacent kids’ pool. The pool is big enough for a lap or two, but it’s also great for a quick dip while you enjoy a refreshing cocktail from Bene.
5. THE FOOD IS AWESOME
When staying in Sheraton, great food is guaranteed. Even as you check in you will be greeted with complimentary infused water and cookies at the lobby. They have two restaurants that are famous in Bali. Breakfast will be held at Feast, which is famous for their Sunday Market Brunch. It’s vibrant decor matches their fresh and flavourful food, making it a fun place to eat. But if you’re feeling like some Italian food, go visit Bene. We love their risotto and the richness of their pastas such as our Ravioli Ai Funghi and the delicate flavors in our oxtail in tomato sauce. If you want a quiet afternoon while basking yourself in the beautiful rays of sun, come to their Lobby Lounge and try their afternoon tea. It’s so good, it made our best afternoon tea in the island list.
6. SHINE SPA FOR THE ULTIMATE RELAXATION
Right by the pool, you can see the Shine Spa sign. For us this is the sign towards complete relaxation. If your holiday itenerary is a bit too ambitious, (yes, this can happen), set aside an hour or two so you can recover in the shine spa bliss. Inspired by Bali’s tranquil environment, the spa’s four inviting treatment rooms are decorated in subdued earth tones with wooden and marble accents. We love their locker rooms with sauna and a relaxation space. It’s like our small sanctuary. Last time I was there, I had the flu. I then tried the reflexology that gave me a boost immediately and fix me right up. That is how good their therapist is.
7. THE LOCATION MAKES IT PERFECT
Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is located, not only a few steps away from Kuta Beach, but it is right on top of the famous Beachwalk Shopping Center. So, location wise, this place is gold! The airport is only 15 minutes away. If you and your kids want to learn how to surf, Kuta Beach is the place to go. Meanwhile, if you want to explore, it is so easy to get transportation. It’s easily 30 minutes ride to Jimbaran, to Nusa Dua, to Seminyak, to Sanur. That’s the best thing about being in the heart of it all.
