Check out these hot new spots in Bali…
1. SOM CHAI BALI
Where: Jalan Raya Kerobokan 86 A, Kuta Utara, Badung
Located in the heart of Jalan Raya Kerobokan, at the northern edge of Seminyak, the latest destination from the Sarong Group offers sophisticated and artfully themed dining and drinking with a Thai influence. Meet SOM CHAI, with fine dining in a ‘secret’ cavern of ballroom proportions and a bar that hosts nocturnal adventures set to the awesome beats of live DJ’s. Som Chai Eat presents Thai cuisine interpreted through the imaginative use of locally sourced ingredients not often used in Indonesian cooking, leading to a botanic reimagining of the regional cooking culture of Thailand. With a menu derived from a diverse range of regional cooking styles, Som Chai Eat encompasses the very essence of excellent Thai food. Som Chai’s restaurant pays homage to an ancient, forgotten era: the era of the first Kings of Siam.
2. SALAZON BALI
Where: Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak
Salazon at En Vie Lane is a modern, yet chic 96- seat woodfire restaurant that features a private dining room, dry-aging showroom, walk-in wine cellar and Bali’s only kitchen counter dining experience, allowing you to dine alongside where the chefs are cooking. Using a custom-made 5.2 tonne Scotch oven, Chef Paul Lewis and his team bring a new and exciting style of wood fire cuisine to Bali. They got the longest bar tops in Indonesia, 3D mapping projection and craft cocktails and extensive champagne list, making them the unique venue on the island.
3. WARUNG MODUS
Where: Jalan Merdeka, Denpasar
This October, a new casual dining opens in Denpasar. Warung Modus Bali specialty is coffee, noodles, and pastry. We love their unique coffee menu, including the Devil Caramel, Irish Banana Nut Latte, Black Forest Latte and Coconut in Paradise. They even have dessert coffee, like Affogato and Avocado Espresso. But when you visit Warung Modus, it is essential that you try their signature dishes that is the Bakmi Modus, Bubur Ayam, Soto Ayam, Nasi Goreng Kampung and Ayam Sambal Matah. They have the authentic Indonesian flavor that gives you comfort. They also have pasta and sandwiches to complete your meal. We love their clean and simple decor and unique chicken graphics. It’s catchy!
4. LOVSTER BALI
Where: 35A Pantai Batu Bolong Street, Canggu
End of September, Lovster Bali opens in Canggu. They bring modern Street Seafood tapas bar to Canggu, serve the best selection of creative, fresh and tasty local seafood such as lobster, crab, shrimp, and chicken. Go inside and you will find a great selection of craft BEERS. They have got one of the most complete selections in Bali. All served chilled, making it a great companion for their tasty seafood served in rolls, bao, tacos and even satay. Our favorite menu is their Lobster Tail satay – Endless Love; and of course the lobster roll – Poseidon and Zeus.
