Sushi is everybody’s favourite, and it looks so easy to make. Well, at least that what’s the chef at Hamabe Japanese Restaurant will say to encourage us, because they believe everybody can make sushi – even little kids. That is why they name it Family Sushi Making Class, so that all the family member can join. First, we will get a menu of what we’re going to make, an apron and a chef’s hat. All the ingredients are prepared for us, however, the chef explains how to make it everything in a simple way. Then it’s time to make the four types of sushi: Maki or sushi rolls, Uramaki (rolls but the rice is outside the seaweed), nigiri (fish on top of rice), and hand rolls. The chef will teach us all the tips and tricks, so it’s so much fun. Although, we made our sushi pretty thick and realize that making sushi is a form of art. The best part is when we finished making our two rolls, four nigiri and one hand rolls, and we got to eat it. The sushi will be served along with a nice green tea and desserts for us to enjoy. It’s such a fun class!
