It’s December and we can’t wait for Christmas! To kick off the festive season, we went to the first place that hosted the Tree Lighting Ceremony: The Trans Resort Bali. As the first day of December arrives, the hotel opens its door to Diversey, Yayasan Samaritania Bali, and all its guest. We’re happy to be part of the event.
We start the day with the Soap for Hope program. This is a collaboration between The Trans Resort Bali with Diversey and Rotary Club Bali Seminyak. Soap for Hope – is an attempt to reduce solid soap waste and improving lives for families in some of the most poverty-stricken villages around the world. To commence the 3rd-anniversary celebration of The Trans Resort Bali this December, as a gesture of support and social responsibility, The Trans Resort Bali and sister property Fashion Hotel Legian have collected around 24 kilograms leftover guests soap to be recycled during “Soap for Hope” event on 1 December 2017. The participants come from hotel staff, in-house guests, Rotary Club Bali Seminyak and some of the General Managers from Bali Hotel Associations. Waste soap will be recycled using a cold-press method, a carbon neutral process without the need for electricity and a great deal of space. After deconstruction, sanitation, and reconstruction processes, the distribution of recycled soap will be handled by Rotary Club Bali Seminyak through their humanity programs.
Next on the agenda is the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with children from “Yayasan Samaritania Bali”. During the day, The Trans Resort Bali invited the kids to experience the resort’s facilities, such as swimming in the signature White Sandy Beach Pool, playing at The Kids Club with all the updated games and tools (Wii, Xbox, Play Station 4, Air Hockey, and others), watching the big screen movie and end the night with delicious meal prepared by the 5-star Chefs, all are provided to give happiness and smile to these little guests. The talented children performed some Christmas songs when Mr Alexander Jovanovic (General Manager of The Trans Resort Bali) commences the festive period as the Christmas tree shines for the first time. Throughout the day, they also collect a donation box for the children. It’s so nice giving back these holiday season, don’t you think?
