The Chris Salans Group in Bali is planning a very special gala dinner event to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day on 17 August. It also coincides with the 17th anniversary of their celebrated Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique in Ubud, Bali.
Since 2001, Mozaic has become renowned for its pioneering concept of combining flavors from Indonesia with fine French cooking technique and ingredients. This August 17th, Chef Chris Salans and his team will be putting together a very special event to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Mozaic. This event will be a gastronomic celebration, and the theme will naturally be ‘Red & White’
The evening will begin with an Anniversary Cocktail Party with champagne and canapés in the Mozaic Lounge. The restaurant is not only inviting guests of the evening, but also one hundred or so hospitality industry people from Ubud. So there will a plenty time to make new acquaintances.
The celebration will continue with a choice of a special 6 or 8-course tasting menu. Chef Chris Salans will prepare favorite dishes from the menu at Mozaic over the past 17 years, such as the Foie Gras in a Trio of Mango and Roasted Rack of Lamb. As always, the kitchen can accommodate your dietary restrictions as well.
Fine wines and wine pairings will be especially designed for the evening. It is going to be fantastic because the restaurant has a carefully curated wine collection has been awarded by Wine Spectator USA every year since 2005.
To make the evening even more celebratory, guests can enjoy a dynamic music and dance performance by Jasmine Okubo and her troupe. The group will showcase a program called “Spice Road,” a historical spice journey that will take you around the Indonesian archipelago. What’s more, the performers will move among the tables to entertain the guests!
The event will finish with a special Anniversary Cake and cake-cutting ceremony that will be shared. Mozaic will also give out special gifts, so guests can remember Mozaic’s 17th anniversary for a long time.
Prices for the Mozaic Anniversary Dinner are Rp 1,6 million ++ for the 6-course dinner and 1,9 million++ for the 8-course dinner. Wine pairing: regular 650K++ for 6-course and 820K++ for 8-course; premium 990K++ for 6-course and 1,2 million++ for the 8-course dinner.
