Congrats to Potato Head Beach Club for being recognised as one of “Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2017” by a panel of almost 200 industry experts from across Asia. But this is not the end because Potato Head Beach Club continues to bring one-of-a-kind experiences and events to its fans and guests through an eclectic mix of innovative mixology, culinary, and cultural programming.
New on their agenda is the Wood-Fired Neapolitan Pizzas and Sundown-Worthy Cocktails. Potato Head Beach Club’s upper level sunset deck has been transformed into a leafy laid-back neighbourhood pizza joint. Californian pizza specialist Benigno Cruz Rosario III is the the man behind the naturally leavened doughs, handmade sauces and simple but satisfying toppings. Manning the brick ovens of cult Brooklyn pizza place Roberta’s inspired the 24-year old’s passion for the world’s favourite flatbreads, and now he brings his artistry and industry know- how to the tropics.
Designed to be eaten with the hands and shared around, the newly launched pizza offerings include traditionally baked pies topped with distinctive local cheeses, high quality Italian cured meats and the ripest Indonesian farm produce. As well as hand-crafted pizzas, the new menu offers sizeable sharing salads, fire-roasted vegetables, Italian-inspired desserts and tropical elixirs to match.
Small wooden tables, pillars, dense, jungle-like foliage and hanging air plants fill the intimate
space, which was inspired by a typical Indonesian backyard. Constructed with many recycled
materials, the bar was designed with a nod to Bali’s rice field shacks and features a corrugated
iron roof. Meanwhile, the venue’s traditional brick pizza oven was handmade in Naples by
Stefano Ferrara, one of the world’s most respected producers. Simple yet cosy, the new space
offers guests an alternative to the huge, open-air setting below.
Not only that, in response to growing demand, Potato Head Beach Club has added 11 new daybeds to the poolside area, making a total of 38. Sitting four to six people comfortably, the venue’s daybeds are one of the most sought-after areas in Seminyak for all-day relaxation, dining and drinking, from morning until sunset.
After Dark Sounds at Night Moves, Potato Head Beach Club’s Newest Monthly Club Night
Complementing Potato Head Beach Club’s laid-back sunset sessions, Night Moves brings the
energy up a notch with monthly late-night DJ sets from 8.30pm. Held at the venue’s intimate,
fully covered bar deck area, Night Moves is for Bali’s musically astute party crew, with each
session hosting a visiting international artist. Previous guests have included trailblazing Scottish DJ Jackmaster, LA and Berlin-based DJ Mor Elian, Korean breakthrough artist Peggy Gou and
Amsterdam cult favourite Young Marco.
