One of the best pool in the island has a great restaurant on its side. We tried the swim and dine experience at Hilton Bali Resort and loving every minute of it.
The Shore Restaurant & Bar is one out of the six restaurants available at Hilton Bali Resort. It is located right next to the pool, facing the beautiful Indian Ocean. This makes The Shore perfect for you to get a quick bite after a day at the beach or the pool, or to enjoy the beautiful sunset while sipping a glass of cocktail or wine.
The first thing that strikes me about this restaurant is its unusual shape. Apparently it is designed as an interpretation of a ship on stilts. The Shore Restaurant & Bar has three-storey area that can accommodate up tp 210 people. On the first floor there’s the semi-outdoor and al fresco setting; beach bar and a sunken pool bar; indoor dining at Aqua Mezzanine 2nd level; and a rooftop on the 3rd level. So it’s great for parties too.
That day, we are enjoying the sunny day so much that we decided to sit on the outdoor area on the first floor. The Shore offers an array of Asian and International cuisine. So you have lots to choose from. For the starters they have lots of salads, gado-gado and our favourite the Prawn & Papaya Cocktail that’s just super fresh. If you want poolside snacks, go for the crispy calamari wasabi fritters with ponzu sauce or their spicy honey ginger chicken wings that’s a bit spicy.
Since we’re a bit hungry, that day we want to try several things. First, we always go for the burger. The shore beef burger is pretty generous in size. It has 180 gr beef patty in sesame bun served with potato truffle fries. Yum. Then, we tried their spaghetti with seafood arugula cream sauce. And of course, the perfect pool side food: Margherita pizza. We played for more than four hours in the pool, so we need all the carbs for energy. Oh, and the fact that they’re tasty makes it even better.
The Shore at sunset becomes a cool spot to lounge on cushioned sofas and chill out on the front terrace. A decadent beach front Bar orientated towards the horizon, serving exotic cocktails and mocktails, also swings into action in the twilight hours. The extensive wine list from both old and new worlds, offers the perfect pairing for each dish. That is why they also have a Food & Wine pairing that’s available for lunch time from 12-6 PM. The menu, such as Pan-fried barramundi fillet with Pinot Grigio; Honey glazed duck breast with Cabernet Merlot, and many more.
