Review: The Spa at Padma Resort Legian

For over 19 years, Padma Resort Legian’s spa is operated by Mandara Spa. Earlier this year, they announced that they are going to be operating their own and name it The Spa. After doing lots of renovation and finding their own style, The Spa is ready to welcome those seeking the ultimate relaxation. We try it out and loving every minute of it.

Padma Resort Legian is always the top destination for families on holiday. They are right on the beach and located in the heart of Legian. They have so many pools, lots of great restaurants, kids club and beautiful gardens filled with arts. When we stay there for our Spa-Cation week, we stayed at their new Deluxe Chalet room that’s just spacious and beautiful. Last January, they expanded their facilities and introduced The Spa.

“We are happy to finally be managing our own spa which will still be upholding the quality and product to be at the same level as international spa operators. We have prepared various exceptional treatments, and impeccably trained therapists to deliver an authentic spa experience” stated William Santoso, the Hotel Manager of Padma Resort Legian.

Driven by its passion to bring the best elements of nature for healing and relaxation, The Spa offers a range of signature treatments such as Frangipani Warm Oil massage and Radiance therapy, designed to nurture its guests inside and out, based on its wellness goal of soothing, uplifting, and purifying. We try this treatment along with the herbal scalp massage, and it was heavenly. The treatment started with 60 minutes of Frangipani Warm Oil Massage. This is very interesting because the therapist will be using real frangipani flowers before pouring warm oil on our body. Then, they will use a heated herbal pouch to massage our head. The scent of herbs is soothing and the massage help improves blood circulation in our head and cures headaches. We are so relaxed from head to toe.

The Spa successfully transform itself and came out of it’s Mandara identity. They focus on their Padma, or lotus, as part of their identity and we can see it in every part of the design. They work with Hatiku Indonesia and it looks beautiful. Their linen has beautiful lotus illustration, and they also have a beautiful lotus fruit inspired lights. We love their whole ambiance.

“Our spa remedies are inspired by the authentic Asian rituals as well as global cutting-edge trends. We would like our guests to experience inner bliss during each session” Lulu Widjaja, The Spa Director added. Coming soon at The Spa is a unique treatment, called Singing Bowls which is a combination of a massage treatment with a calming sound of singing bowls that have been proven to reduce stress, heal pain, and create a deep sense of peace.

The Spa uses herbs and traditional recipes for aromatherapy and massage oil and cooperates with an international product, Elemis, the number one spa product in England, for their face treatment line. Come try it when in Bali.
