Starbucks Launches its 300th Outlets in Ngurah Rai Airport Domestic Terminal


Starbucks Indonesia’s 300th store location boasts a strategic position in the Bali Airport’s Domestic Departure Area. Having made connection to Bali in 2003 with the first store in Hard Rock Hotel -Bali, both international and domestic travelers have been accustomed to having facilities in such locations as train stations, highways and airports throughout Indonesia, it is therefore fitting to mark the milestone of Starbucks Indonesia’s 300th store in I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, being Starbucks 24th airport store in the country. The store offers travelers a complete Starbucks® Experience, with a wide range of food, plus local and international coffee choices with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere uniquely design for this location.

“With more than 30,000 passengers per day passing through the Airport, travelers appreciate a dependable experience and a home away from home or what we call the 3rd place”, said Anthony Cottan, director, Starbucks Indonesia. Travelers can enjoy a perfect cup of coffee handcrafted by our skilled barista and variant of food before continuing their next flight.

Starbucks Coffee continues to accelerate growth in Indonesia aiming to create more than 1,000 new job opportunities annually for youth nation-wide, whose role is not only as a barista but to participate in the community. In Bali, over the years, more than five hundreds volunteer partners and customers have contributed over 10,000 community service hours by cleaning beaches, teaching kindergartens students and other valuable supporting activities. Ni Komang Megawaty, Store Manager of Starbucks at Level 21 Denpasar said: “I feel very proud to be a partner in Bali for 15 years, it has given me the opportunity to meet and converse with customers from many parts of the world on a daily basis.”

Bali as one of the world’s most favorite holiday destinations will see a new “one and only” Starbucks store in Bali in 2018. This unique store will be designed as a hub to serve all coffee connoisseurs, which will be dedicated to coffee education, customers learning experience and to understand and participate in the journey behind every cup Starbucks serves.
