The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has warmly welcomed Mr. Franklyn D’Costa to the appointed role of Director of Food & Beverage. He has arrived on the island direct from chilly England where he was formerly the Operations Manager for De Vere Cotswold Water Park, a luxury countryside hotel and event venue.
Franklyn completed two hospitality diplomas before going on to participate in a year-long program as a Management Trainee at The Orchid Hotel Mumbai, India. From there he relocated to Scotland where he studied at a leading Edinburgh university for his B.A in Hospitality Management.
As a fresh graduate, Franklyn joined Marriott Hotels & Resorts in 2006 where he primarily worked at properties within the United Kingdom. In only a matter of years he had risen up through the ranks to the position of F&B Manager at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel.
Keen to further his career, Franklyn returned to Scotland to take up an appointment as Food and Beverage Manager at Fairmont St. Andrews. His duties included overseeing high-end outlets and banqueting facilities at this five-star golf resort. He was also instrumental in a multi-million dollar refurbishment project to re-brand several key restaurants.
Now in Bali, Franklyn will assume full responsibility for the Food & Beverage division at the resort. This covers a number of distinctive dining venues including bars, plus healthy food initiatives that are in line with Westin’s signature wellness concept. He will also be tasked with overseeing banqueting operations at the adjacent Bali International Convention Centre. Find him on your next visit to The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali.
