The biggest project to date from the group behind Bali’s iconic Motel Mexicola and Bucket List is coming up this August 2018! Tropicola is a beach club, restaurant, rooftop bar and hotel with the sweeping panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. It is located just meters up the beach from W Bali-Seminyak, Potato Head, and Alila Seminyak.
Tropicola is a nostalgic tribute to places both real and imagined, representing a carefree and effortless time. It brings a Slim Aarons picture to life, opening its pool to the new jet-set that have made Bali their own. Memories of Miami, Acapulco, Palm Springs, Tulum and Playa Del Carmen are woven into a drink and dine beach club.
The multi-stage beachfront development will have two stages rolling out over the following year, beginning with a restaurant by Chef Steve Skelly and followed by a rooftop bar and an event space with uninterrupted views spanning from Buket Peninsula to Tanah Lot. Lastly, the development will be completed by 60 room hotel filled with fun and quirky experience. Offering affordable and accessible luxury to the island, the room rates start from $100 per night.
Tropicola Beach Club features three bars, surrounding two pools and a wood fire open kitchen. Chef Steve Skelly, responsible for Mexicola, Da Maria, and Luigi’s Hot Pizza has created a menu anchored by wood-fired grills, fresh seafood, grilled meats, and simply handled vegetables. Nothing too heavy and overdone, just great produce prepared beautifully for a relaxing lounging and grazing, day and night.
Teaming up with James Brown who has designed Motel Mexicola, Tropicola rises up from the beachfront in a riot of color and movement. It will soon open to become a fantastic place to get a tan, relax on the beach, sipping cocktails, and day all day long as music fills the air. Tropicola is about transporting moods and memories from another time and place to the heart of Bali.
